Our Return Promise

At Handmadearomasho, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that sometimes products may not meet your expectations, or you may simply change your mind. That's why we offer a comprehensive return policy designed to make the process as simple and stress-free as possible.

We stand behind the quality of our home goods and believe that you should have the opportunity to experience our products in your own space before making a final decision. If for any reason you're not satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help you through the return process.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • The item must be returned within 30 days of the original delivery date
  • The item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it
  • The item must be in its original packaging with all tags, labels, and accessories intact
  • The item must not be damaged due to misuse, negligence, or normal wear and tear
  • You must have a valid proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation email or receipt

Please note that certain items may have specific return requirements or may be ineligible for returns due to their nature. These exceptions are clearly noted in the product descriptions at the time of purchase.

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items cannot be returned once purchased. These include:

  • Bedding and linens that have been removed from their original sealed packaging
  • Personal care items and products that come into direct contact with skin
  • Custom-made or personalized items that have been made to your specifications
  • Items marked as final sale or clearance at the time of purchase
  • Gift cards and promotional items
  • Items that have been assembled or installed
  • Products that show signs of use, damage, or alteration

How to Initiate a Return

To start the return process, please follow these steps:

  • Contact our customer service team by phone at (416) 484-3702 or by email at office@handmadearomasho.world with your order number and the reason for your return
  • Our team will review your request and provide you with a Return Authorization Number and detailed return instructions
  • Carefully package the item in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and documentation
  • Include the Return Authorization Number on the outside of the package and a copy of your original receipt or order confirmation inside
  • Ship the package to the address provided by our customer service team using a trackable shipping method

Please do not send items back without first obtaining a Return Authorization Number, as this may delay the processing of your return or result in the item being refused.

Return Shipping

For standard returns within Canada, customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to a defect, damage during shipping, or an error on our part. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for items of significant value, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

If your return is due to a defective product or an error on our part, we will provide a prepaid shipping label or arrange for the item to be picked up at no cost to you. Please contact our customer service team to arrange this.

For large or heavy items that require special shipping arrangements, please contact our customer service team for instructions on how to return these items safely and cost-effectively.

Inspection and Approval

Once we receive your returned item, our quality assurance team will inspect it to ensure it meets our return eligibility criteria. This inspection process typically takes 3-5 business days. We will examine the item for any signs of use, damage, or missing components.

If the item passes inspection, we will proceed with processing your refund or exchange. If the item does not meet our return criteria, we will contact you to discuss your options, which may include returning the item to you at your expense.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with our return policy or that appear to have been used, damaged, or altered in any way.

Refund Process

Once your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. Please allow the following timeframes for your refund to be processed:

  • Credit Cards: 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement
  • Debit Cards: 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days for the refund to appear in your PayPal account
  • Store Credit: Immediately available in your account

Please note that the refund processing time may vary depending on your financial institution. If you have not received your refund within the expected timeframe, please first check with your bank or credit card company, as there may be additional processing time on their end.

Refunds will be issued for the purchase price of the item only. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item for a different size, color, or product, please indicate this when contacting our customer service team to initiate your return. We will do our best to accommodate exchange requests, subject to product availability.

For exchanges of equal value, we will ship the replacement item once we receive and process your return. For exchanges involving items of different values, we will either charge or refund the difference accordingly.

If the item you wish to exchange for is out of stock, we will contact you to discuss alternative options, including selecting a different item or receiving a refund.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, please contact us immediately. We take quality seriously and will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

To report a damaged or defective item:

  • Contact our customer service team within 48 hours of receiving your order
  • Provide your order number and a detailed description of the issue
  • Include photographs of the damaged or defective item and any damaged packaging
  • Keep all original packaging materials until the issue is resolved

We will arrange for a replacement to be sent to you at no additional cost, or provide a full refund including any shipping charges you may have paid. In some cases, we may ask you to return the damaged item before processing the replacement or refund.

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been processed or shipped, we can cancel it and issue a full refund. Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled, and you will need to follow our standard return procedure.

To request an order cancellation, please contact our customer service team with your order number and the reason for cancellation. We will confirm the cancellation and refund within 24-48 hours.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received a refund within the expected timeframe, please take the following steps:

  • Check your bank account or credit card statement again, as refunds sometimes take a few days to post
  • Contact your credit card company or bank, as there may be some processing time before a refund is posted
  • If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at office@handmadearomasho.world and we will investigate the matter

Sale Items

Items purchased on sale or with promotional discounts may have different return conditions. Final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. Items purchased with a promotional discount will be refunded at the price paid, not the original retail price.

If you used a promotional code or received a discount on your order, the refund will reflect the actual amount paid. If you return only part of an order that qualified for a promotion, the discount may be adjusted accordingly.

Gift Returns

If you received an item as a gift and would like to return it, please contact our customer service team. For gift returns, we will issue store credit for the value of the returned item, which can be used for future purchases on our website.

If the gift was shipped directly to you, we will need the order number or the name and email address of the gift giver to process the return. All standard return conditions apply to gift returns.

International Returns

For orders shipped outside of Canada, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, including any customs duties, taxes, or fees that may be incurred. We recommend using a trackable shipping service for international returns.

Please note that international returns may take longer to process due to shipping times and customs procedures. We will process your refund as soon as we receive and inspect the returned item.

Policy Changes

We reserve the right to modify this Return Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review this Return Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of our website following the posting of any changes to this Return Policy constitutes acceptance of those changes.
